12/1 morning session

LinkThis morning, I looked at Curricki. It had the most resources for upper level students and science. Here is good video that I found about Transcription and Translation. I think I might add this to the blog that I am trying to create for my Biology Students.

Afternoon Learning 10/22

This afternoon I used FirstClass (the email and website program LHS has) in order to create a blog for my students to use. I found a tutorial about Endosymbiosis, the origin of mitochondria and chloroplasts in eukaryotic cells. I will have my AP Biology students watch this tutorial, take the built in quiz, and then comment on their understanding on the blog site. I will let you know how this works and what my students think about it!

Here is a link to my class website and the blog if you would like to check it out!

Morning Learning 10/22

This morning I looked at many different Wikis that other teachers have made fr biology an AP Biology. I liked this one... http://missbakersbiologyclasswiki.wikispaces.com/ This class posted many videos made by students about different topics in Biology. I registered and started to make my own wiki. However, I feel like I already have a course website that I require my students to look at, I want them to constantly be checking their grades on PowerSchool, I will start this wiki, ask them to Blog, and then check out delicious... it is getting to be a lot of stuff!
